وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَحْيَاءُ وَلَا الْأَمْوَاتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۖ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّن فِي الْقُبُورِ ٢٢

vemâ yestevi-l'aḥyâü vele-l'emvât. inne-llâhe yüsmi`u mey yeşâ'. vemâ ente bimüsmi`im men fi-lḳubûr.

Ölülerle diriler de eşit olmaz. Gerçi Allah, her dilediğine işittirirse de sen, kabirlerdekine işittirecek değilsin.

And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves.

{ وما يستوي الأحياء ولا الأموات } المؤمنون ولا الكفار، وزيادة لا في الثلاثة تأكيد { إن الله يسمع من يشاء } هدايته فيجيبه بالإيمان { وما أنت بمسمع من في القبور } أي الكفار شبههم بالموتى فيجيبون.
